Session chair guidelines

  1. Familiarize yourself with the content of the papers to be delivered in your session.

  2. At the beginning of the session, briefly introduce all the speakers for the session. Each keynote has a 45-minute timeslot (unless otherwise specified). The length of their presentation will be communicated to you, so you know how much time (of the 45 minutes) remains for Q&A. All the other platform presenters have a 15-minute slot. Note – there will be no Q&A after each platform presentation.

  3. There will be a 15-minute Q&A session at the end of the session (just keep an eye on the time available).

  4. Please prepare some questions based on the presentations in your session. It is quite possible that there are no questions from the delegates – you need to be able to stimulate a discussion around your session if there are no questions from the audience.

  5. The panellists/presenters will be available in the live format to answer questions posed to them during the Q&A Session.

  6. Please relay the questions in the Chatbox to the relevant panellist. The moderator will be there to assist you, if necessary.
